What makes a MadMind?

Diving deep into what makes you tick. Writing down ideas and actually trying them. Finding new ways to express your creativity. Drawing inspriration from other creative talent, then putting your own twist on what you've absorbed. Keeping everyone on their toes about your next move. Never giving up on the future you want to invent for yourself. Setting goals and working toward them everyday, no matter how weird the path gets. And always having a little faith in flying by the seat of your pants.

  • The MadMind Design Process

Most acrylic painters use carefully selected paint brushes. I decided that just wasn't for me. It started with an idea to make some weird art for my newly renovated bathroom. After a long binge on Pinterest, I was an expert on layering paint and flipping it onto a flat surface to create abstract paintings. "Fluid Art" "Paint Pouring", whatever you want to call it. I needed to try it. After two amazingly successful flip cup paintings, I then stumbled onto the "string pull" (featured style in my "Sail Away" and "Orange Blue Split" paintings). Further down the rabbit hole of fluid art I found an artist named Olga Soby who used beautiful colors and lung power to create the most amazing compositions I'd ever seen. Needless to say my style and technique spiraled from there. I love the idea that I'm literally "breathing life" into my paintings. Check out my process below!!
